ABOUT CLASSIC GOLF VACATIONS

 

Classic Golf Vacations is a division of the Club 19 Golf and Travel Club, a membership golf organization started in 1981 by Don Faimann and Gail Rider.

After a few years in operation we had several thousand members who we learned through surveys enjoyed traveling.  We first hosted three day Golf Fests to popular golf resorts throughout California that soon became sold out events.

Further surveys showed us that members were interested in golf vacations to favorite destinations, like Hawaii, Canada, Hilton Head, Coeur d’ Alene, Sedona, Maine, Williamsburg and Sunriver, plus international sites like, Scotland, Ireland, Spain and Portugal.

We learned a lot about what golfers like on a getaway from hosting our Golf Fests.  Foremost, we learned that golfers enjoy a good time.  They love an organized outing where tee times are secured, tournaments are fun and well run, meal functions offer a relaxed setting, good food and time to socialize with old and new friends.

We took this a step further for our 8 day vacations by including lodging and transportation.  We understood that good times come from meticulous planning; we do all the work so you can have all the fun!

We were interested in offering high value vacations at great places so we targeted four star lodging, beautiful settings, great service and delicious food, nearby attractions and most of all, some of the best golf courses you would ever want to play.

There are not a lot of fully escorted golf vacations, so our vacations have always been well attended.  We mostly attract couples and ladies who travel together.  The tournament formats are best ball to enhance the enjoyment of the round for the team.  We do require a handicap for tournament play; one is formulate for golfers who do not have an official handicap.

A popular feature of our trips is the open days that allow guests to create their own agenda, whether it be more golf, sightseeing or just lazing by the pool.
